PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The SCDC After-School program is for children between the ages of 8 to 17 years old in Marion County, Florida. The Program is located in Silver Springs Florida. It consists of, but is not limited to, Tutoring, Homework Assistance and Home School Support to aid young people and their families. In addition, the program is designed to address all aspects of a young person’s life while building character and inspiring a desire to succeed in life.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Skilled and committed tutors/teachers that assist children with difficult assignments and teach them problem-solving techniques.

- A computer lab to complete homework, follow assigned curriculum or learn new skills.
- Assistance for children new to navigating online learning.
- An environment conducive to learning.
- Accountability in the form of progress reports.
- Afforability based on a sliding scale model.
- Mentorship in a faith-based environment.
The Program operates throughout the year, becoming a summer program when school is out.
